Worship is something we do throughout the entire service. It just manifests itself in different ways. We worship with song. We worship as the Word is given by the pastor. We worship when we celebrate the Lord’s supper. We worship with our finances.
Our music is contemporary. We have a small band of musicians each week that lead us in song as we offer up praise and worship to the Lord.
The Scriptures tell us the following:
Psa 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Psa 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
Psa 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
Psa 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Psa 99:5 Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
Psa 99:9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
Psa 132:7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Psa 150:1-6 Praise ye the Lord.
Praise God in His sanctuary.
Praise Him in the firmament of His power.
Praise Him for His mighty acts.
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet.
Praise Him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance.
Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise Him upon the loud cymbals.
Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord.
